How To  Stop Buying Clothes You Never Wear

SIMPLY + FIERCELY

Do you have a closet full of clothes with the tags still attached?

As a reformed shopaholic, I've been there too ...

I've wasted thousands of dollars on clothes that never made it out for my closet.

But the good news is, you can learn from my mistakes.

10 years ago, I embraced minimalist living and I completely changed my habits.

The first was learning to recognise my shopping triggers...

We often shop because we feel insecure, sad or stressed—and when we make emotional purchases, they're rarely good choices.

My next tip is do a wardrobe audit—figure out what you actually like wearing!

Pay attention to what gets worn and what doesn't. Do you notice any patterns?

Sometimes what we think we like and what we actually wear are two different things.

Finally — plan to shop! You'll make better choices if you plan ahead.

Shop with intention and you'll make less impulse purchases... and you'll buy clothes that you actually love to wear!
